A predominantly residential community, consisting of both apartments (mostly towards 2nd December Street - pictured), and some villas, Al Hudaiba is a relatively small, quite diverse community within Dubai.
Al Hudaiba borders 2nd December street (Al Diyafah Street), and for something to eat at the end of the day, this is the way to head. It is one of the few roads in Dubai that buzzes at night time, thanks largely to the large number of Filipinos in the area. Think good value restaurants (Lebanese, Thai, Chinese, Italian) fast food outlets, and shisha.
The Capital Hotel on Al Wasl/Al Khaleej road also offers several places to eat and drink, while the Meliá Dubai over Sheikh Rashid road in Al Raffa offers something a little more high end.
There are no schools in Al Hudaiba itself - although there is Dubai's Autism Centre, and the Dubai Modern Nursery. Families will either head up to Oud Metha for schooling, or towards Jumeirah, depending upon their school preference, but also which side of Al Hudaiba they live in.
